Corvara – night life
There doesn’t seem to be much night life in Corvara. There are some good bars – the Underground is a personal favourite, a number of good restaurants (Posta Zirm, Piz Da Lec and La Tambra), and for Apres Ski there is the Posta Zirm and L’Murin. Night clubs? We only found the Posta Zirm.
Places visited (all smoke free as smoking has been banned):
Bars:
Underground: We have been there most nights. Friendly bar staff. Snacks available. Pool table. Very quiet. Map it – Google Earth kml file
The Underground Bar, Corvara, Italy
Bars in the main street: I have visited a number of bars. All very pleasant, but again, quiet.
Apres Ski Scene:
Again, very quite. In Corvara there seems to be only two places to go for Apres Ski. One point to note, people seem to go how to change before coming out for ‘Apres ski’ around 17:00 – 18:00.
L’Murin: On the main slopes, sort of above/one end of the town. It is a sort of converted barn on four levels. Floor 1 (basement) is the loos, floor 2 (entry level), main bar and some seating, floor 3/floor 4 are split levels, one area part is the dance floor and the other a bar/seating area which is arranged in a horse shoe shape and allows views of the main bar area. One nice feature of the ‘horse-shoe shape’ seating area is there is a drinks service with bar staff fetching drinks from the floor below. The bar has a strange smell associated with it.
L’Murin has the standard Apres ski ‘Euro-pop’ being played. The clientele is mixed, ranging from late teens to late 60s! Thursday night is ‘Go-go dancer night’.
L’Murin Apres Ski Bar, Corvara, Italy
On the night we went there was strange atmosphere in the place and there seemed to be some trouble in the ‘horse-shoe shape’ seating area, however, we late met some skiers in the Underground and they said that the L’Murin was not normally like that.
L’Murin is open daily from 15:30 – 20:45. Map it – Google Earth kml file
Owned by La Perla (a hotel nearby).
Posta Zirm Hotel: The is at the ‘top of the town’ near L’Murin. (This is the same place where we had the ‘dumpling evening’ the other night (see earlier post)).
On one night we visited the ‘Apres ski’ was non existent. At 6 pm the place was dead. However, on a previous night it had been very busy.

Restaurants
Most (but not all) hotels seems to have restaurants.
One we regularly used was the Piz Da Lec. Food was very good, with a good choice of dishes. Good wine list. Friendly staff. Map it – Google Earth kml file
Another favourite was the La Tambra, which did some great pizzas and steaks – Map it – Google Earth kml file.
Night Clubs
We only found one – Posta Zirm Hotel, which was quite an odd place. On the evening I went I thought I had gone to an aerobics class by mistake. As I walked in there were two dancers on stage shouting out instructions and all the people on the dance floor were in lines following the instructions. After the work-out there was a latin dance session (no instructors this time) – I left after 20 minutes so I don’t know what ‘session’ came next! All very odd…
