Yep, another update of the theSnowSite. So, what is new? Well, there is now integration with Google Earth so you can grab kml (Google Earth) files of your favourite ski and boarding resorts, plus there is a link through to Google Maps so you can get directions – Enjoy!

For a recent ski trip to Corvara (see trip summary) I took three different GPS units! Why three? Well, one for driving directions (a Garmin Quest [Amazon Link]), one for mapping locations (a Garmin eTrex Venture Cx [Amazon Link]) and one for geotagging photos (a Sony GPS CS1 [Amazon Link] unit).

Well, a vital part of any ski trip is music! You need music for the flight, the transfer (or car journey), for the hotel or chalet, and for, sometimes, the slope.

We usually take a couple of iPods. A shuffle and a ‘big’ iPod, and a set of speakers.

Well, this is an odd one, and I am not sure how I found it…

Apparently the isoundcap company makes hats which can be used to hold your iPod, and they make one for skiing.
