“Buy” a Chairlift Seat at Whaleback Mountain Ski Area

Now this is an interesting idea. it appears you can buy a chairlift seat at the Whaleback Ski Area in New Hampshire, USA.

For $325 (US) you get a dedicated plaque on a chair, and for $500 (US) you get a plaque and a personalised paint job.

This is an interesting idea, and I hope it works. Whaleback has had a few problems over recent years and was closed for four winters. There are also plans to open a year round action sports centre, which will open in 2007.
