Skiing, Boarding and snow around the world

Snow has started to fall across Europe and I have been invited away by two groups of friends to go skiing over the new year.

Group 1: Heading for the Chamonix Valley, France.

Group 2: Heading for Morzine, France (just ‘around the corner’ from the Chamonix Valley).

My plan is to either fly or take the train to Geneva, hire a car, and then meet up with ‘group 1′ for 3 days of skiing, before meeting up with ‘group 2′. And so the planning begins….

First, flights. I will be hitting the usual websites (Expedia, hlx, LastMinute, Thomson, KLM, and Opodo). The alternative to flying is to take the Eurostar from London, or possible drive and use the ferries (POFerries, and Cheap4Ferries).

If I don’t drive then I will need car-hire, again I will try the usual suspects – EasyCar, ebooker, Expedia, Holiday Autos, LastMinute.com, Sixt, Thrifty, Travelocity, British Airways Car Hire in Europe, and Opodo.

The tricky one is hotels. I don’t know if I want to stay in Chamonix or Morzine. I guess it depends on what I can find online at ebooker, Expedia, Hotel Connect, hotels.com, Thomson Hotels, and LastMinute.
